Sun, Moon and Stars ~Peacock (Taous)~ in Essaouira - 2015!

A new peacock graces Essaouira again. They recently painted the other one over with a cat, so I got a new spot for this one! Arose a bit of controversy with one of the guys working in a shop closeby, because of the Berber symbols I added, and He (being Arab) made a big fuss about that many Arabs would be very, very upset about this (despite the fact that Essaouira is a Berber town and all they sell in the jewellery shops is Berber symbols, but what the heck). So I added a few Arab letters as well. All happy. Including the cats :).

Then he came up with the story that I was part of the Illuminati and everything I painted had a meaning, even the peacock was just an excuse to add hidden symbols. The tail of the peacock was supposed to be the Jewish tree, and God knows what else. Actually I would be interested in knowing what he reads out of the painting, because I have no clue when I paint. My mind is pretty empty then.

Upcoming exhibit @ Little Dudes, Berlin

I have the pleasure to be part of Little Dudes project, 100 little "dudes" from artists around the globe made of paper or wood or cardboard or whatev´s, each one individually designed. In addition, they all go into a book project with the same name! Exciting! The income from an auction of all little dudes is going towards charity. I chose animals (of course). And my dude is a little... well have a guess :).

Party and exhibition is 6th of June 2014 in Villa Neukölln, Berlin. Come along!

Jade Peacock in Taghazout

Hello hello hello! Morocco again, of course. Taghazout is graced by peacock / phoenix mix now. I was accompanied by Jade, my little apprentice, who colored peacocks the whole day on paper and even matched her style to mine. Lovely, that´s why we do the streets. Interactions that make your life a colorful box of surprises.

Mano de Fatima

As some might know, I´m in love with all things Arabic and Spiritual, so this one is a snapshot of an (almost finished) Hand of Fatima, a symbol against the evil eye. It got enriched by Om and the Ajna (3rd eye) Chakra and Sahasrara (crown) Chakra, a Mohak (3rd) eye and some of the typical Mohak feathers. Enjoy! This time I got something sent from Turkey by Fulya Coskun. Seems like something is resonating in people with the peacocks, they are truely making their rounds. We are walking the royal path here.

Obviously Mohak peacocks made their rounds in Morocco, so that an NGO in Sebt Mzouda near Marrakesh got inspired to paint their building with a similar one. 

UPDATE: Concerning the Sebt Mzouda located ASSOCIATION ANAOUAT for "women and children" run by Amina Byouz (I had to inquire about the name of the association as they didn´t mention it or it´s website in the first place), who got "inspired by" my peacocks to paint their new building with a similar one - they did NOT paint the building together with the women and children and also did not ask them about their own design ideas. Nor did they ask me if they could use my design for the association, but didn´t have a problem of showing me the copy in the end.  #fail

Interestingly, there is quite a bunch of associations in Morocco for women and children, although a lot of time it is unclear how much is done for these women and children (see paint #fail) and how much money raised with the Association goes elsewehere into lucrative projects.

As a side note: All of my peacocks have an intrinsic connection to my life and persons along my way, so each of them bears a liveliness in them, because they ARE what they are, all of them are unique just as every person is unique. By the mere act of copying them, you take the life out of them, hence you basically kill them. Even I can´t copy my own, because every unique being is just to be created once, no cloning possible. When you connect to god, you channel and every channeling is an individual process never to be repeated.

MAAYAA Shop Painting in INDIA

Got the chance to paint a beautiful peacock mandala for Maayaa Eco Friendly Store in Rishikesh, India. Including the attendance of the opening puja ceremony. Beautiful, such a nice group of lovely people! If you go to India, make sure you pass by one of their stores in Pune or Rishikesh. Maayaa is also a Tarot & Numerology Specialist, plus working with cristals, sound bowls and lots more. Inspiring!

Taous - Essaouira

A yet another bird has arrived. Don´t know yet who it is. But I´m most happy with him, such a beauty (seriously). In fact you should try to see the paintings in real, as the picture can only reveil a fraction of them, the colors and dimension are a lot more vibrant, when you stand in front of them.

The second one is an Amazigh mandala sporting the freedom symbol (and letter z of the amazight alphabet) and the name "Tin Hinan" in Tifinagh. Tin Hinan was the queen of the Tuareg (who where brought together as one tribe on base of a matriachart).

Logo Design Workshop

I was asked, together with 4 other artists, to give a logo design workshop for a 10th grade art class in a school in the multicultural neighborhood of Neukölln. The final results will be presented on January 10th, 2013, and the best logo is going to be the logo for the YOUNG ARTS NK art school.

The kids in my class came up with some really good ideas so that it was hard to chose one. 
But this is our final result:

Festival de Cine Under, Buenos Aires

On October 23, 2012, the short film AGUAS DULCES is going to be shown at the VIIIth edition of Festival de Cine Under from Buenos Aires. The film, directed by Adriana Berroteran, is about the street art residency we (a group of Argentinian artists and me from Berlin) held in Aguas Dulces, at the Uruguayan coast, where we transformed a whole village into a colorful heaven in March 2012.

"Most of the Mayan deities found in Mexico are female. Where you see a serpent, dragon or similar, the deity is a metaphor for the Mother of the Universe, which is the fundamental spiral."

I go with this one. Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent God, is described as a man in history, but my serpent is definitely a woman.
